My 5 Favorite Products Today
The beauty industry can be overwhelming. With new products popping up daily, it can be difficult to determine what is best for your skin or your makeup routine. However, this variety can also be exciting, and it’s something I really love about working in this industry. There is always something new to try, and advancements in beauty products, formulas, and packaging have increased exponentially, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next big product launch. I am passionate about using clean ingredients on my skin and supporting brands that are good for the environment. It’s a big plus if they give back through charitable partnerships since our planet and its animals can use all the help they can get. Though it’s impossible for me to choose just a handful of beauty products and companies I love, I’ll give it a shot. Without further ado, here are five beauty products that I’ve been loving recently, and recommend for any age, skin type, or body type!

French Girl Organics: French Girl Organics makes a Vitamin C Polishing Wash that quite literally leaves my skin glowing and fresh. This product is water-free, a huge trend in the beauty industry right now. All you have to do is take a small scoop of the powder and mix with water until you achieve your desired consistency, then generously rub the paste into your skin. Leave on for about 5 minutes and repeat as often as three times a week for optimal hydration! What I love about French Girl Organics is that they are cruelty-free and make everything in-house to ensure that nothing is tested on animals and only organic, clean ingredients are used in their products. Shared Planet: Shared Planet’s Tiger Eyeshadow Palette is my go-to palette for everything from work meetings, to formal events, to hanging with friends! Their warm tones -- a mixture of browns, greens, neutrals, and golds -- complement all skin types. Brushing on a matte earthy brown with a shimmer of gold overtop is both fun and flirty at the same time. Shared Planet is another cosmetics company that I love, as they donate 10% of their proceeds to organizations that support endangered animals such as Polar Bears, Tigers, Sea Turtles, and Birds of Paradise. Esker Beauty: Now this is a deeply satisfying product in a slightly gross way. Let me explain. Esker Beauty’s Body Plane scrapes dead skin and toxic particles off your body and it is safe to use from head to toe. Emilie Heathe: I’ve never found nail polish I love more than those from Emilie Heathe’s collection! What I love about this polish is that it’s vegan, non-toxic, and 10-free. What does 10-free mean? It means a product is free from toxic chemicals that do harm to your body and skin, like Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, Xylene, parabens, animal by-products, and fragrances. These nail polishes come in a variety of fun and funky colors like “Goddess,” “Liquid Assets,” and “The Perfect Red.” Emilie Heathe is an eco-conscious beauty brand founded by Emily H. BALIBODY: As much as I resist, autumn is almost upon us, which for me means pale skin. BALIBODY’S Self Tanning Mousse is a lifesaver, and something I use all the time. It uses color guide technology to blend seamlessly with your skin tone and it glides on smoothly, hydrating and bronzing at the same time. It’s enriched with essential oils, 100% vegan, and made with naturally derived ingredients. It comes with video instructions, but all you have to do is rub it in, leave for 1-8 hours depending on your desired darkness, then wash off in the shower. Voila! And that’s my list!
