NEW BRAND DEVELOPMENT

THE OBJECTIVE:
We were approached to create a premium DTC color cosmetics brand with a mission to raise awareness of endangered animals. The owners wanted to give back but did not want the brand to feel like a non-profit. The brand needed to educate and inform, yet inspire hope and creativity, all while performing as well as some of the top makeup artist brands on the market.

THE PROJECT:
We created a clean, sustainable, responsible, mission-based brand and launched with products separated into 2 collections – Polar Bear and Tiger. Each collection, inspired by both the animal and its natural habitat, was created to push the boundaries of color while bringing visibility to the issues each one faces today.

A BEAUTY BRAND ON A MISSION TO BRING CHANGE

Shared Planet™ is the first color cosmetics brand to put the focus on the pursuit of social and environmental change before all else. The brand is rooted in championing and benefiting endangered animals and donates 10% of sales to animal-related charities across the world.

PSA-STYLE BRAND CAMPAIGNS

Shared Planet™ launched with a very unique concept and garnered instant attention. The brand partnered with 2 powerful beauty influencers who were filmed in each of the animal’s natural environments, Greenland for Polar Bear and India for the Tiger collection. The 2-minute videos were PSA in style and while the brand ambassadors wore the brand’s makeup, no product was ever depicted on the screen to keep the primary focus on the animals.

Shared Planet’s blog was created specifically for educating its supporters. Whether it be about animal issues, current events, the importance of brands being Child Labor-Free or breaking down the difference between Cruelty-Free and Vegan formulas, education is a pillar of the brand they use their voice to inform.
